Human Resources Policies
We can provide a number of human resources and employment policies written to suit your particular circumstances and covering all common areas in the relationship between Employer and Employee. These can be used as standalone policies or can be combined into a complete Company Handbook . If your policies have not been updated in recent years or, worse yet, if you have no written policies at all in certain areas, your ability to deal appropriately and fairly with your employees may be seriously limited.

Below is a list of typical policies that we can tailor to your specific needs. We can also offer a package of policies if you are in a start-up situation or if you wish to update several policies at once. This service can be combined with an HR Health Check or Audit to make sure that all your policies are compliant with best practices.

Human Resources Assessment
We have developed the HR Health Check and the HR Audit to be used as an assessment of your current HR practices regardless of whether you have an internal HR department or not, whether you are a local business unit or a corporate office. The major aim is to examine current policies, practices and strategies and to gauge their effectiveness in the context of your business. You will get practical answers to questions as :
  • How do I best position Human Resources within our business?
  • How good are our current human resources practices?
  • Does the current organizational structure work the way it is supposed to?
  • How well is our talent management process of attracting, retaining, developing the right people, responding to our needs?
  • How do I build the proper environment which delivers strong people support?
How will we measure human resources effectiveness in the future?
Formats will vary depending upon the type and scope of review requested Ideally, for a full Human Resources Audit we would need to spend up to a total of 4 hours with key members of your management team or of your internal HR team and have access to certain data and information.

For the Health Check which is an abbreviated approach- most useful in smaller companies- we work with an e-questionnaire which includes samples of work and a one-hour intake interview to clarify objectives. The questionnaire takes 2 to 4 hours to complete, depending on the ready availability of data. A comprehensive, written report will be provided on current strengths and areas for improvement. As part of the HR Audit a roadmap showing how to realize the full potential of your people management systems will be included. Both the HR Audit and the Health Check are stand-alone products not dependent on future consultation. They are designed to enable you to strengthen your HR function and get the best from your workforce.
